Thiyagarajar Aradhanai, Pongal Vizha and Bharathiyar day were celebrated together on 22.01.2023. The program began with a melodious Saraswathi Vandana by Master R Prabhanjan Iyer. Ms. Vihitha Guruprasath ardently narrated some incidents in Thiyagaraja Swamigal’s life and Ms. V L Niranjanasri gave a speech on National Poet Bharathiyar and both of them got good appreciation from the audience.

Master Aashutosh Abhinav Iyer mesmarised everyone with his beautiful rendering of Sri Thiyagaraja Swamigal’s keerthanai. The SICA kids showed great interest & enthusiasm and enthralled the gathering by presenting a dance on Pongal festival.

The semi classical dance performances by Ms. Anakha Nair & Ms. Shivani Sudarshan on Bharathiyar’s songs were incredibly captivating.

The Committee appreciates all the kids who took part in the program and also thanks their parents for their encouragement and support.

The Keerthanais of Sri Thiyagarajar and poems of Bharathiyar were sung by our members with utmost dedication. The Folk dance and the Kolattam by SICA ladies were also enjoyed by all. The drama titled “Maayaiyai Vendra Bharathi” enacted by our members was thought-provoking as well as entertaining. The Committee thanks all the participants and the audience for contributing to the success of the program.
